Research status of rotary tillers in my country

Among the domestically manufactured rotary tillage machinery products, horizontal rotary tillers are the mainstream. This type of rotary tiller has strong adaptability to soil and good soil mixing effect. It can achieve the requirements of turning over soil, crushing soil and leveling the surface in one operation. However, the plowing depth is generally shallow, the plowing is serious, the working parts are easily entangled with grass and blocked by mud, and the power consumption is large during operation. For this reason, vertical and inclined rotary tillers have been introduced. Vertical rotary tillers are mainly suitable for stubble removal operations. Inclined rotary tillers are a new type of tillage machine that combines the characteristics of plowing and rotary tillage, with low power consumption and good tillage quality.
In horizontal rotary tillers, according to the direction of the rotary tiller cutter shaft and the tractor wheel, they can be divided into forward and reverse types. The rotary tiller with the same direction of the rotary tiller cutter shaft and the tractor wheel is a forward rotary tiller, and the reverse is a reverse rotary tiller. The reverse rotary tiller was proposed on the basis of the forward rotary tiller, and later the submerged soil reverse rotary tiller and the forward and reverse rotary tiller were introduced. The reverse rotary tiller can be used as the main supporting equipment for large and medium-sized combine harvesters. It can form soil burial, which is conducive to returning straw to the field and achieving the purpose of increasing soil organic matter. The submerged reverse rotary tiller can increase deep plowing and effectively solve the problem of soil accumulation in front of the cutter shaft. The forward and reverse rotary tiller can make the cutter shaft rotate forward and reverse through the combination of the transmission mechanism and the working parts, and complete stubble removal and rotary tillage at the same time, realizing multiple uses of one machine.
The soil penetration depth of the rotary tiller is generally less than 10%~20% of the radius of the rotary tiller component. Considering the corresponding unit energy consumption required for the radius of the rotary tiller component, the rotary tiller blade should be lower to the ground. Some designs install the central speed regulator directly on the shaft of the rotary tiller component based on the relative relationship between the rotary tiller component and the tillage depth. This can ensure the minimum energy consumption of the agricultural implement, the minimum material consumption and the better work quality. The blade edge curve of the rotary tiller mostly adopts the Archimedean curve, and the equiangular logarithmic curve, the sine exponential curve, etc. are also used. Chinese scholars have proposed a variety of cutting edge curves, such as energy-saving cutting edge curve design, design of plane and curved tangent planes, and design of radial spirals as curved lines for generating transition surfaces.
In recent years, in order to meet current production needs, various models of rotary tillers with a width of 1.25~2.80m have been developed. For example, the 1G N series and 1G series of various models of rotary tillers produced by Nanchang Rotary Tiller Factory; the 1GE2 210 rotary tiller and 1GQN 250S rotary tiller produced by Jiangsu Lianyungang Rotary Tiller Group Co., Ltd. The combined operation machine models used in my country include the 1GHL 280 loosening and rotary ridging machine, the 1GSZ 210/280 combined rotary tillage multi-purpose machine, the 1GZJ 210 rotary tillage and stubble removal combined land preparation machine, the 1GLT 4 loosening and rotary stubble removal and ridging general machine, and the 1GQH 280D stubble removal rotary tillage multi-purpose machine.
